A clinical calculator designed for and Ophthalmologists and Ophthalmic trainees.
The App will calculate the amount of surgically induced astigmatism from the difference in the preoperative and postoperative refraction / K readings.
It utilizes a mathematical formula published in JT Holladay, TV Cravy, DD Koch. Calculating the surgically induced refractive change following ocular surgery. J Cataract Refract Surg, 1992 to calculate the Postoperative induced corneal astigmatism.
Could be used to audit results of cataract surgery, corneal refractive surgery, pterygium surgery or any other procedure that involves the cornea.
It consists of three calculators
R-Calculator calculates the surgically induced refractive correction from the preoperative and postoperative refractions.
K-Calculator calculates the surgically induced refractive correction from the preoperative and postoperative K-readings
Over refraction calculator calculates a prescription from a spectacle over refraction
